Hi Everyone - from Australia,
Found this site when an issue arose with my 2007 Fiat Ducato 2.3l motorhome. Water damaged electrical system, including engine ECU. Insurance company has approved claim, approx $10k [aud] repair. Unfortunately, no ECU's in Oz, so on order from Fiat, with no ETA. Looked into a second hand unit, but appears that this is not a good idea. Both Auto Electrician and Insurer have said to avoid second hand unit. So pretty bummed that van is parked up, since early February, with no clear indication when the part may arrive.:bang:

Gday Reggie.

Italy n lock down. You could be waiting awhile ....
East coast commercials in Brissie are the largest fiat dealers here in Oz.
Did you ask their service department?
They are very helpful at least.

Yeah...I also had a major major water leak fault into engine bay.
But I was soooo LUCKY to discover this in the 1st month of ownership.
Bloody miracle!!!

Water was leaking on my auto gearbox plug bigtime.
Sealed it now.
Dried out the electrics.

So far, so good.
I was lucky hey! but check my photos. Your 2.3 may have a similar leak in same location?
Not sure if the design has changed much?????
My leak sorted now...

Thanks for the information. I will contact them and just maybe, they could have part. You mentioned photo of your water leak, but there appeared to be no attachment. I think mine could have been via the scuttle panel, which seems to be a problem with this model. Is this where your leak occurred. I'd be interested, how to stop water coming through the scuttle. Is it simply getting windscreen repairer, had a new screen 12 months ago, to silicon them down ?
