I have a 2011 Peugeot campervan based on a boxer chassis.
I have a had a long painful and expensive saga with the airbag ECU failing, apparently this is common for these vans.
I have been told that these are actually Fiat parts (I believe a lot of the Peugeot vans parts are actually Fiat).
I think I now have a working ECU but its still showing an airbag warning on the dashboard. I am wondering if this is an error stored by the main ECU and would like to see if I can clear it.
I have a Bluetooth adapter to fit the van but wonder if its possible to buy software to be able to talk to the van.
Looking for suggestions for software and information. if there is info on the forum that I can read please send me a link as I wasn't sure what to search for.

If I am mistaken re Fiat and Peugeot parts let me know. :)

Hi Mike and welcome :)

Ok.. SEVEL is a facility where the FCA-PSA joint venture build Commercials

Citroen FIAT Peugeot

Thats why they all look so similar ;)

Ok in normal circumstances..
I would direct you to the forums
MES Register.. where forum members offer access to their
MultiECUScan diagnostic software

You can buy the software.. its FIAT specific.. so you want a demo ideally to see what actually works

thanks for the information, I will go and have a look at the MultiECUScan stuff and try to understand what it can do, I have plenty of time at the moment!
BTW I sent the original Airbag ECU to Crashdata for repair but they couldnt repair it, but suggested they could copy the memory data into a working unit. After trying 3 units from Ebay (none worked) got a working one from Poland that they were able to use to clone my original broken one.
Meanwhile I also found someone in Devon, very helpful and has done it before for other Campervan users, who could get a new unit and reprogram it. I had planned to go down the day after the shutdown happened so that has not happened.
BTW my local Peugeot main dealer couldnt match the serial number of my original unit to my van "never been fitted to that van.. have to go and talk to fiat could take weeks..." not very helpful and didnt inspire confidence. Complete nightmare and if it wasnt a campervan it would write the van off..

Hi,
I'm in Bar Hill and have MES. Subject to social distancing I'm happy to try it on your van and see if it will communicate. No promises though.

Thanks for the kind offer! I am in Histon so not far from you.
But I have just SORNED the van as I cant see that we will be using it for quite a long time (months). Can I contact you when I have it back on the road and we are hopefully 'less' locked down.
What is MES? I was looking at the Multiecuscan software whats the difference between the two? Up to now I have never needed to worry about car ECU's and error codes, so maybe it time to learn. My other fun car is 1968 Triumph Herald, not very standard as it now has 1500 engine, OD, and full electronic fuel injection.

BTW I used to have a amateur radio licence, G6WEP, but now only listen.
