Hi fellow Fiat friends.
I have a 2010 500 Abarth that has developed a whine in 3rd and 4th. The car has gone back to the dealership and they have attempted to repair it by rebuilding the box, under warranty at a cost of £1800. I now have the car back after being without it for 6 weeks and the whine has returned. Is it a common problem? I have to add the car is going back in again tomorrow for another attempt. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is it just in 3rd or 4th and is it speed related? I have what sounds like a wheel bearing at about 40mph, but the wheel bearings were fine. I wondered if it was a gearbox/drivetrain issue. I asked the garage to check the gearbox oil and it was low, but no sign of a leak. I was just checking on hear to see the location of the gearbox filler as the mechanic says he can't remember the location
