Hi, i am newbie based in Mallorca, any others over this way?

Just bought a bit of a project Barchetta, looking forward to getting it sorted and on the road proper.

Already struggling with V5c here as the DVLA have mistyped one of the characters on the V5, so now need to send back to UK for them to change, happy days.

While you are waiting, change the cam belt. It's very fiddly to get the covers off and you will need the correct cam locking tools.

To get the belt cover off the engine, you will need some short Torx bits and suitable ratchet ring spanner (to turn them).

The timing belt tensioner is a nightmare to release (poor access). I used a ring spanner and jack to hold the tensioner out of the way while fitting the belt.

Don't forget to fit a new idle rollers and water pump.

Great, thanks for the advice, just ordered a sonnenland replacement top from Razortops as per some of the recommendations, the company seems excellent so far, answered a couple of questions immediately.

So just to clear up one thing, some others asked which of the tops were Sonnenland material, the answer is the one for 330€ is and the one for 275€ is also fabric, but not branded sonnenland although they reckons its really good.

Will update on when fitted as to my views on this.

I fitted a Sonnenland from Razortops,good quality and easy to fit.
When the hood is down make sure you have a roll to stop the plastic window collapsing.
