Punto Lightbulbs

Hi everyone,

I need to replace my light bulbs on my 2004 Fiat Punto Active as they are becoming quite dim. What are the best bulbs to get in terms of brightness and how much would I be looking at spending?

Thanks in advance!

Hi.
You can spend quite a bit on BRIGHT bulbs.

1st figure out why yours look so dim.. if its the lenses in the lights.. get that fixed 1st

Re: Punto Lightbulbs

The outer lens cover can go cloudy.

There are threads on here regarding the polishing.

Re: Punto Lightbulbs

Definitely clean the lenses first before trying anything else. You will be surprised just how much they get covered in much. Did mine a while ago with 't-cut' and the stuff that came off was unbelievable!! Did it 3 times, and the lenses came up as new!! (I tend to do them every 3 months or so now, routinely)
Once you have cleaned them, them think if you need new bulbs or not. I purchased some 'Osram Nightbreaker plus' bulbs from E-bay, and replaced both the dipped beam (H7) and the main beam (H1) for around 25 for the lot (2 packs of 2 bulbs) and again, the difference is amazing along with the cleaned lenses.

Do the cleaning first, that may well be enough, then decide if you need new bulbs..

Once again, thanks for the help. It's much appreciated!

One of my lightbulbs is fairly cloudy whilst the other looks as if it's brand new. They both seem to give roughly the same output although I will definitely get the cloudy one looked at and then judge it afterwards.

As silly as it sounds, I'm anxious as to whether this would affect the M.O.T that is coming up...
