My fiat palio 1.2 imp model 2000 has developed a serious coolant leak from a freeze plug within the gear box. The sump oil is also coming out of the dipstick hole. The tappets are noisy. I have decided to have a compete overhaul done to this engine. I would be grateful if someone out there could give me ideas. Another thing is, I have searched in vain for the WORKSHOP manual of this car.

No specific Palio workshop manuals available, I'm afraid.
Use any manual covering the 1,2 ohc engine, like Rallycinq suggested.
Why not find a complete 1,2 engine from a wrecked car?
Easier and less expensive than a rebuild imo.
