Good day i have a problem with my car the steering wheel light is on the break light the ABS light and the engine light and it stays on, the odometer is flickering, i took the car for a reset with the diagnostic system but after i drove off it like reset again showing the same lights. Someone said it could be the battery the current battery im using is a 42 amps. Can someone please help me.
 
It could also be a faulty ABS sensor but all those problems suggest a poor battery. Borrow a battery and see if the situation improves. If the battery is old, replace it anyway. Winter is coming (it is up here anyway).

You also need to check the earth cables from car body to battery and to the engine and check the alternator is giving enough power.

EPS failure has many causes. It will flag a code. Although it’s not often helpful and requires special equipment to connect to the EPS

I take it the light that normally comes on when you pull up the hand brake ?
the ABS light
The ABS is disabled. If you brake hard the rear wheels will lock first and the car will try and swap ends. Needs sorting ASAP. You really need to read the code. Requires specialist equipment to connect to the ABS module
and the engine light and it stays on,
Should log a code that can be read by any scanner
the odometer is flickering,
If the miles are flashing something is wrong with the CANBUS. Could be something as simple as a USB left in the radio or blue and me if you have either

If the clock is flashing then it will be a power/battery issue

42A is fine as long as you don’t have start/stop

The only reliable way to check the battery is via substitution

Are you practically minded or will you be taking it to a garage

Reading back through my reply I noticed I missed the brake warning lamp has two separate functions



1: Handbrake up or down
2: Brake fluid level

Please make sure there is enough fluid in there

It’s unlikely to be low. Most of the warning lights are networked controlled via the body computer which just sends the signal to toggle them off. It’s likely all the faults are connected and it’s due to a crash on the network

But it’s best to be safe than sorry

You could have done with getting the diagnostic trouble codes from when you had the EML reset if you could, this would have given us more to go on.

As you didn't get them I am presuming whoever did this reset might not have had the right scanner to pull the right codes.
Basic scan tools will only read the engine ECU and not the other ECUs like the chassis (ABS).

When you described all the lights returning when you "drove off" after the reset I suspect you might have a ABS wheel speed sensor issue.

The ABS will self test the pump when starting the engine, but can't check the wheel speed sensors until the car starts to move.
It'll do this everytime you start to drive within the first few metres when you set off.
If there is a fault with one of those, that is when it'll flag up.
Stop, reset the ignition and start driving again and it'll do the same.

Any braking problem will active the brake warning system, an ABS fault will also active the ABS warning system.

As the electric power steering is electronically connected to vehicle speed as it's assistance is adjust by speed, you will almost certainly get a steering fault if is can't detect the car speed properly.

Again the odometer needs picks up a signal from the somewhere and that somewhere is a wheel speed sensor.

Obviously check the battery, earths and fuses first, but you will probably need a more indepth ECU scan with a proper Fiat compatible scan tool to pinpoint the issue.
If it is a wheel speed sensor, you need to know which as you have four!

Let’s take a recap these are the faults that come on together

ABS light on
EPS light on

Odometer flashing

Brake light on
Engine light on

There all on the dash
There all network controlled rather than conventionally switched lights

I just can’t see a ABS sensor throwing all of the lights on together especially the engine check and brake, there is also no mention of the speedometer not working.

Of cause I could be wrong I usually am.
 
I've seen this a few times and it's very common with the Ford Focus, though for a slightly different reason.
All the warning lights light up, ESP, ABS, Brake and EML and the Odo flashes.

The different systems are missing a common input, so all start flagging a fault.
The ABS, ESP, Steering, Odometer and Engine all utilise a signal from one or more wheel speed sensors. (plus the EPAS of the Panda)

Another hint is the reset and return of the faults/lights when the car starts to move, as that's when it will notice one or more wheel speed sensors inputs aren't right.

All the codes point to a speed input, except the ABS which points to a wheel speed sensor.
(Focus onwers replace the sensor but still end up scratching their head as it's usually that's wiring that's chaffed, broken or over stretched)

There is at least logic here. But Fiats are Italian so expect to need to think Italian.... All this clobber is fine when it works but
There should in theory be a line of thinking behond how things are linked. Over the winter I think I may trawl through the threads and see if there are any common factors on different faults. A spread sheet on model, lights illumonated and cure could be an interesting resource.
