Hello everyone...im new here from south Africa....looking for members in Durban,...and generally some information as i like to DIY....as im electrically and mechanically orientated...as my job prescribes...but need simple info as i have purchased a clutch kit from England and in the process of stripping off the gearbox....

Hi,

as long as it's a manual gearbox,
it's pretty simple, and must've been covered on the forum many times,
usually you remove battery tray for improved access,

thanks charley...i have to detach the gear selector cable which is not coming off like i thought it should..

.so my concern ....is it not meant to be detached in another manner....has a spring with a depress lever for adjusting i would presume..i really dont want to break it, ...as i wait for ages... for spares from uk...
