Hi everybody,

My name is Isabelle, I live in Belgium, and after driving older Volvo's for the past 8 years, I decided to go brand new.

As I am a bit of a car enthusiast, Italian cars stand out in their own special way in my eyes, so the Doblo was pretty much the obvious choice for practicality/price.

I don't have children and don't plan to change that, so I decided to go the Cargo route, so I have a blank shell to decorate as a minicamper in the back.
Being a happy sporty LPG driver, I went for the T-Jet which will be converted as soon as she arrives at my dealer.

So here's the long list I'm waiting for (delivery expected end March):

The specs:
Fiat Doblo Cargo SX L1H1
Colour: Rosso Corsa
Seats: Pinstripe Red
Engine: 1.4 T-Jet 120 E6
Chassis: 1T 16"

SX:
Painted bumpers and mirrors
Wheel covers
Passenger side sliding door
Lockable glovebox
Driver seat with height and lumbar support adjustment
PVC cargo floor
Remote

Comfort+NAV pack:
Manual air-conditioning
Front foglights
Cruise-control
5" FM/DAB/Nav/USB/Bluetooth stereo
Stereo controls on the steering wheel

Extra options:
Driver side sliding door
Tailgate
Double passenger seat
Heated driver seat
Leather steering wheel and shift knob
Electric adjustable/heated/retractable mirrors
Parking sensors
Windows all round

Dealer Extra:
LPG conversion
Vredestein Quatrac tyres

She's not built yet, so no pictures yet ;)

I didn't really consider the Scudo as it's a bit too dated to buy new right now IMO, and I've had bad luck with the PSA 2.0HDI in the past...

The only other option was the Ducato, and the reasons I went for the Doblo instead can be projected to the Scudo as well:
- The Doblo in short wheel base fits in smaller parking spots (shorter than my current V70)
- With the windows and tailgate, the Doblo doesn't look as van-like. (I actually like the design of the Doblo as a car in general, not only in its class)
- The seating height is ideal to get in and out without a step.
- I prefer LPG, neither the Scudo nor the Ducato come with petrol engines.
- The Doblo should be big enough and I'm used to some luxury, so I prefer some extra creature comforts over extra space for my budget.

Dated isn't a bad thing, my current car is 15 years old and I like it better than the newer models.

I actually like the design of the Scudo...

But I find it important to have a fresh new facelift/model when I spend the money on a brand new car, and the Doblo is better suited to my needs anyways.

I have a list of mods in the back of my head, including styling mods, but it'll take a while as free time and budget is limited...
Having to set priorities sucks! Lol

I'll definitely start a project thread when the time comes.

Hey, don't twist my words like that :(
The current Scudo looks still very similar to the complete redesign of 2007(?) overall, while the 2015 facelift of the 2010 Doblo is quite a bit different and I like it, that's all I'm saying.
