hey everyone, I'm new to this!

Just replaced my mini one with a fiat 500 and its getting delivered this week.. excited! It doesnt come with blue and me though and with my mini i really relied on having a cd player which would also connect my phone.

I was wondering if anyone has had a radio/blue tooth/ sat nav device fitted and which ones do you all recommend?! i dont want something that will look odd against the ivory interior but something that has sat nag, blue tooth, usb connection sort of thing! anyone help?!?!

Intergrated stereo/ satnavs are dumb. For one, you'll have to loose your HVAC vents to install double din in a 500, for two, when the phone rings the NAV (or nag for that matter) goes silent making it easy to miss a turn.

I had factory B&M with nav etc, but I now run a Kenwood KIV-701 and Garmin Nuvi 3597LMTHD. I LOVE both of these units. The KIV is black but the chrome trim matches my black dash perfectly. The KIV units are USB/ iphone only though, no CD. Album art looks pretty and gives you a reverse cam screen or lets you watch (small) video.

I now have my second KIV, this time the Bluetooth version (KIV-901BT) awating install. Pandora internet radio here I come I'll soon have a KIV each of my cars.

The Nuvi is great too, standby mode means it's instantly ready to go when you key on. No waiting for it to boot before you can drive. Voice command means I can phone home with just four words - it's not perfect but better than Fiat's factory system it - it will even let me read out a phone number and it works! I never could get B&M to do that. You can buy a cheaper model and get the same features minus the beautiful glass screen, alloy case and magnetic mount.

A member on here recently fitted their own sat Nav housing and found a paint to match Ivory interior, so if you do a search for sat Nav, you should find that thread.

All in one double dins have their draw backs, asside from the units themselves, if you reduce the size of the vents the velocity of air flowing through them will increase, making the vents louder, and of course you loose aiming. Probably OK for colder climates though.
