I'm doing some research for a magazine feature on infotainment pricing and was hoping for some insight into charges Fiat makes for software updates and upgrades. Things like map updates, updates to provide new functionality, perhaps for Blue&Me, though I'm aware there are a lot of free updates for that (an example might be added 7-digit postcode support, or adding some kind of Bluetooth functionality).

If anyone has recent experience, I'd love to hear it. That's both good experiences, eg a dealer updated the software for free or for a good price, or bad experiences where you felt fleeced!

It's for one of the big UK car mags, so you never know, shedding a little light on the situation might encourage more reasonable pricing or get Fiat a public pat on the back!
