I've just bought a Grande Punto 1.4 16v GP and am just introducing myself.
Planning to upgrade my speakers this weekend.

Cheers guys, I'm keeping the stock HU for the minute to see what difference a change in speakers makes, I'll keep you updated.
I'll deffo get some photos of my GP up this weekend when I go home, and we can see how it changes with time

eventually you will be much better off changing the HU though, the stock one can only output so much power to the speakers, should be an improvement though

Yeah, I'm going to have a look at how they sound, and if they still sound a bit distorted then I'll go for the headunit swap, do you have Blue&Me on yours? That's my only concern.

Hi, I am also a newbie and I can't for the life of me work out how to start a new thread as I have a question about my blue & me?

If you go to the forum home, then scroll down to "Newbie Central" click on that, then scroll down a tiny bit and you'll see a little orange bar, the new thread button is above that

no i didnt have blue & me i know there is a lot about that on here though

I've got to admit, its a bit of a temperamental feature! Replacing the head unit doesn't look too bad though, just a bit of effort. I think I'll try putting some new springs on first though (if insurance isn't to much of a joke)
