Hiya again,
Been a while but I've now managed to find some time to finish off the R Send rebuild on the bug.
Both handbrake cables were a bit past their rust by date so I treated it to some noo un's, fitting the shorter offside cable has left me scratchin me hed, it's longer than it should be, well, it certain seems longer coz it doesn't follow the natural track of the old un. Is it possible they've sold me a 'disc' cable instead of a 'drum' cable?
Has anybody had any problems with new cables, or is it Ole George havin one of his turns again?
Any light you can shed on this might be helpful, cheers
George

P/S, Just had a butchers at the ePer for an idea of how they should be fitted but all I'm getting is 'Error 666' - dunno what that means but I can't get the page to open, anybody else havin fun with it?

Hi George,
RE the 'ePER' assume you are using the forum copy (from the link bar on the top ogf page?) I have always had problems with this copy, and it repeatedly throws up the 'error 666' along with the 'ahoy me hearties, there be pirates in these waters, and they've scuppered me ship' message.
Try using this copy instead, always works for me, and never had any problems with it.

It shows about 5-6 different part numbers for both sides of the handbrake cables, so you might just have the wrong one for your model perhaps??

Hope this helps..

Thank you for that, I does help a little.
I sorted out the handbrake finally, though the cable still seems about 6" to long, but it's on and working.
Cheers
George
