Hope this this tutorial helps others, my car is a 115 ELX JTD should work for other diesel models I used my ramps but axel stands will suffice and a chock.
First drive up the ramps and chock the car -
Remove front pipe and bracket from the front of the sump -
Remove gearbox mounting bolt behind sump (15mm) -
Remove driveshaft support bracket bolt (13mm) mine snapped blow lamp got it out ? -
Remove dip stick clamp plate behind the sump (10mm) -
Remove oil switch sensor plug behind gearbox -
Remove crankshaft cover you need to turn it later (19mm) ratchet -
You now should be able to see the two bolts at gearbox side, there's two small cutouts either side of the crankshaft (gearbox end) look up with a torch and turn crank slowly until you see the flywheel cut out, line it up and remove the hex bolt, turn crank slowly to line it up with the other bolt and remove, mine didn't drop out completely the old gasket held them up -
Now drain the oil and leave for 15 minutes to empty (have a brew) -
Undo remaining sump bolts and split the seal, the sump drops a few inches and stops on the oil pickup, I removed a bolt so it turned and sump came all the way down, I should have removed the crank pulley I think it would have made it a bit easier, clean off old gasket and refit in reverse, leave new sealant overnight to dry and refill with new oil - jobs a gooden ?
