Hi All,

So I've had my 2003 53 plate Multipla for a week now although I only got to properly use it since the weekend but so far so good.
I've put 12 months tax on it (Yes I've got faith) and have had to put 2 new tyres on it as the front 2 were cheap (Never heard of brands) and although there was tred left the side walls were perishing.

Anyway I've had a friend who is an auto electrician put a diagnostics kit on it and it would look like the only error is to do with the Red airbag light on the centre console, there are 2 fault codes listed:-
P0015 DS Front Side-Impact Sensor 1 "S.C. to ground" and "Not Feasible"

He thinks the sensor has had it or become detached?

Does anyone on here know anything about it?

I'm of the opinion that it will need a professional to remedy it but I DO NOT want to pay main dealer prices.... any suggestions... anyone?

Will consider all suggestions, nothing is silly. If I can put this one to bed I think I'm on a winner.

Cheers

Push both front seats back as far as they go, look under the front seats on the outer rail for an orange connector with 2 wires.
Try cleaning the connectors but be prepared to solder the joint!

Yep, tried that over the weekend on both front seats but no go. Had that fault on my previous car a Citroen Xantia and doing what you said but just wiggling the connectors did the trick but not on the Multi

Must admit soldering was a last resort as I thought I had cleaned them thoroughly and was quite sceptical when I soldered the damn things.

However, pleasantly surprised when the fault went away never to return

Note to self (NEVER say NEVER)!.

Having the exact same fault with mine now! Had it a few months ago and a wiggle of connectors did trick. It came back on Wednesday and I've WD40'd the connectors, and even stripped them down, removed the contacts, cleaned them and reassembled- bl00dy light still comes on! Am prepared to put bullet connectors on or solder joint if needed!

Short of getting it connected to a fault reader, is there any other way of checking before I cut the wires and solder the little s0ds?

Andrew
