Smile New Multipla user. Questions.

Hello to all
I am new in this forum, and first i would like to apologize about my English.
I have Multipla 2001 diesel second hand, and i am looking for solution for two problems. I will appreciate your help.
1. the AC air shuttle is stuck in open position. the button for open /close is lite when pressing but the shuttle is not moving. How can i close it permanently? Where i can find it in my car? i didnt find any fuse for this shuttle. BTW it worked fine till the AC blower fell down and burn its fuse. I fixed the blower fuse but didnt find any shuttle fuse...
2. I read here that faulty MAF may cause power problems.
The engine is very weak specially when i driving up to hills. I checked the MAF unit and it was clean and new. I cleaned it again with special spray, but it didn't help.
When i disconnect the MAF connector, the car performance is splendid, like a new car . I can drive anywhere with six passengers with AC on, without any issue. Dose it mean that my MAF is faulty for sure? The next step is buying a new one and check, but its too expensive for troubleshooting.
Many thanks for your help. photos with explanations will be always welcome..

Eli

Re: New Multipla user. Questions.

Umberto, thanks for your reply.
I will replace the MAF.
Regarding the air circulation window, when i press the button, it lite on and off but i cant hear the window motor operate as it was in the past. the air coming in during drive no matter the button position is. Moreover, when the AC is on with the fan on max, i can feel strong suction at the inlet grid next to the AC filter out side, under the front window. The AC temp. in the car goes up with the hot air from out side (40 Celsius).
I tried to seal the AC filter to prevent air coming from out side, but the internal AC air flow become very weak. i removed the seal.
Think that closing this window will be the proper solution. i just have to find it or its fuse.
I hope that someone here have a drawing.
Tx

Re: New Multipla user. Questions.

Hi
Finally the AC air shutter issue have been resolved. I downloaded the FIAT workshop file from here, and there i found the shutter location.
I removed the AC fan motor from its housing. I thread my hand inside and up to the fan housing and the spongy shutter was there. I moved it gently and carefully from vertical position to horizontal, to the top of the housing. The shutter can stay at this position for ever. Reinstalling the fan and that's it. Total labor 10 minutes.
Maybe i will open it again at the winter, for fresh air...
thanks for your help.
