They can bind a bit because of the alloy , i go own the agressive route and just twist/yank them off

A bit of plus gas or wd40 would go amiss either or place a peice of wood under the arm so it supports it against the plastics not the screen then undo the nut so it leaves no exposed thread on the arm mount and tap the nut with a small knocking stick.

I never managed to get mine off - even with a draper wiper arm removal tool. In the end I repainted them on the car.
