200+ kph in a 1.4 Tempra

Hi guys, I just broke my last speed record (194 kph) which is now at 204 kph. I've got a picture that I took during the "speed record" but it displays 199 kph@6000 rpm (I was alone and the car was starting to lose speed. Besides trying to take a picture and holding the steering wheel with one hand, trying to avoid traffic is quite dangerous. So don't try this at home kids;)). I was also curious to see if the electronics could display speeds over 200 kph.

Well now I've got my answer :D:D:D:D

Wow! 199kph? [:0]

Taking a picture of your speedo at that speed is suicidal!

Not being funny here guys, but do the pictures prove anything?

My Stilo reads 130mph at 6000rpm, the book says it has a top speed of 112mph.

as soon as speedos pass about 70mph they become terribly inaccurate. thats why speed cameras allow 30% of the speed limit over for wrong speedos

The wilton plant has its own speed enforcement doesn't it?

I heard its well strict, I was down there for a Uni course for a couple of weeks a couple of years ago.

Is that where you work Pete[?]

On the subject, I got my Saxo 1.1 of the clock once, three up, loads of luggage in down a great big hill:D

That was when I was young and daft tho;)

Wilton's speed traps are huge white boxes at the side of the road, they tell you your speed. I was doing a real 28 according to them with 32 on the clock. 30mph limit, so no chuckey - outey.
