I think it’s finally time to post my Cinq up on here now that today I have finally got it the way I like it (aesthetically).

It’s a ’97 Cinquecento Sporting donning the Grigio Steel Metallic Paint guise. Other recent little extras include the following spec.

- 1242cc (20k mile) Punto Engine Transplant
- Blue GSR Optimised Induction Kit
- Punto HGT Brake callipers & 259mm by 20mm vented discs
- Apex 30mm full suspension kit shocks and springs
- Tempra 14” Alloy wheels refurbed to anthracite (same style as original cinqs to accommodate bigger brakes)
- JVC head unit and upgraded stealthed speakers (soon to be replaced with door pod items.
- Re-sprayed rub strips and tail lights to black
- Lester/Abarth replica side skirts (professionally fitted)

Future Intended Upgrades include:

- Tricker 40mm Throttle body
- Punto 75 Camshaft
- Remap
- Janspeed Exhaust
- Turbo baby!

i love the grey rocker cover and manifolds! great idea!! but i would of cleaned the coolant tank while you had the engine out etc to give it extra looks, and i would personally put the abarth badges on the skirts.. you getting the front and back aprons/spoiler aswell?

Love that cinq, good job subtle and gorgeous.. get some chrome indicator bulbs and it's finished IMO

Update: The cinq is being turboed! (almost from scratch). There are definitely some teething issues but cross big fingers it will all come good. As it stands now; Most of the basics are done. I just need to wire in the extra injector piggyback ECU, connect the boost gauge, finish plumbing in the cooling, map the little bugger and I’m away! (cross fingers)







Not looking too pretty at the moment, needs a extra jubilee here, an additional coolant hose there but the main objective will be to get it running and reliable (if at all possible) and will then pay attention to the under bonnet aesthetics in summer.

This probably makes it one of the most desirable Cinqs in the UK!

Btw do you have my engine hoist still?

Yup have the engine hoist in my garage whenever you want it back. The plenum, injector, modified MF2 and a spare intercooler are all ex-Van Aaken, the rest is mine with exception of a turbo & manifold which I obtained from here.
