With short journeys that is a bit like mine really. Dont worry too much.
Leave your trip b data and let it build up, keep checking it and youll have a better average, or should do.

No, keep driving normal.
Everytime i fill up i reset my trip A.
But i leave my trip B. My average mpg over the last 2200 miles is 33.9 and i know that because i havent reset my trip B data.
Thats an average of short journeys, long journeys, driving like a granny and absolutely belting it everywhere.

Update time!!!

So I've had the T-jet about a month or so now and I'm loving it! The only things I've changed are the bulbs. I've got 6 led sidelights with resistors and they are amazing.

I'm currently waiting in the house for my wind deflectors to be delivered!! I installed my wiring kit for my sub yesterday and my Sony radio but didn't like it and put the standard one back in.

I wish I could get the standard radio to work with the sub?.

I've also decided that I want the car to be more powerful but reliable. I could push it to 180bhp but that will cost a bomb and also possibly cause other problems. I'm going to lower it and sort out the handling and remap it to about 155bhp.

Also looking to remove the back box on my sport exhaust and replace it with a straight pipe. Might even decat!

Going to get 2 sets of 90% H4 Bosch Bulbs from Eurocar.

Do I need the below resistors with it?

Yes they are the resistors you need. Very easy to fit buddy.

UPDATE:

So I've added some new led sidelights in and installed my 6000k hid kit today. I'm aware of the illegal crap but I'm not bothered. I'm booked in to the garage tomorrow morning to get them alligned and aimed properly. But here is a picture:

5 led sidelights and philips diamond vision. They looked very blue/white when I had them in but the output was crap. Once I put the hids in, they looked awful next to the hids haha.

Also I've just had my HIDS alligned and aimed properly so that they don't blind any other oncoming vehicle.
