Hey Guys, I'm new to the forum but had my blue GP 56 plate for around 6months now and what an emotionally tiring 6 months its been, first off 3 wheels bolts shear off and wheels nearly falls off with only the locking wheel nut holding it together.

Secondly gearbox went boom, £1400 for a new one (including labour) and now the wheels bearings have gone in the front I think. So once this is all sorted, hopefully just after the news year, i will be starting to modify my car.

I have some experience in modifying cars, as i started with an MG ZR, then a 106gti, then a Fiesta ST500 and now my GP.

So planning on:

Respraying the front upper and lower grill and the gap between black.
Lowering 40mm all round
Black alloys
R8 L.E.D DRL
Lots of I.C.E being installed between x-mas and new year
Will be sending it to be re-mapped in the spring.

I dont want to spend a small fortune modifying this one so thats all i have planned really.

Are there any sports exhausts for diesels? or do they not really work?

Any tips, advice, recommendations on what to do and get would be greatly appreciated.

Will post pics when the car is clean and tidy

sounds like some good plans there.

iv had my 1.9 jtd for 3 weeks now, but wednesday caused some problems for me. as i fitted my amp and 2 subs to the car about 10 days ago, on wednesday the power steering failed on me. and then the abs, hill brake, stereo etc etc etc and went back to available car to see what the issue was, and they said as my power cable is direct to the battery, its killing the alternator so everything is failing as it cannot cope powering everything. so out of couriosity if you have fitted yours, how have you done it? but if you have not yet fitted any ice, then let this be a warning.

annyywaaayyyyy GP life story out the way. where are these pics of your car then? ;)

I would go to a different garage lol. Wat bull. I have a 6 channel infinity amp running front and rear focal components, and an infinity perfect 12 sub and it doesn't drain my battery or make the alternator struggle

yeah my thoughts exactly so their comment consufed me a little. i've re-fitted it now being as the alternator has been replaced with a brand spanker. so i will just have to keep an eye on things.

just noticed the bit of info under yours posts. how have you managed 195bhp? on most remap sites they only increase up to 160-170 max :/

because it was done at redot who magicly can find a few more bhp than anywhere else with their rollers

i would say the read out from the rollers isnt far wrong, as i went back 12months after the remap, due to having a new turbo, and the readout was 0.6bhp different, and also my mate took his remapped fabia vrs, which he had remapped elsewhere who had quoted 50bhp increase from 130bhp, and it made 177bhp on reddot rollers,..,

Red dot remap on the rollers, with bmc panel filter

For 200hp you need 100mm3 of fuel and 1'9 bar of boost 4000 rpm to make it.... Do you have a data log? I'm currently running about 220hp with KKKBV50 turbo upgrade (2.4 mjtd 200hp) 1'95 bar @ 110mm3 ........ Forge FMIC, Protoxide exhaust... If you think you make 195 hp with stock turboo you are very very optimistical.
Red dot rollers.... (n)
