Punto (Mk2/2b) My Punto Mk2b.

Introduction

Right then, I have been on hear a while and own the car for about a year now and it is about time i started this thread so starting from the begining.

I bought the car completely standard and quickly invested in a badgeless front grill, Richbrook taxdisck holder and read universal mud flaps, along with getting rid of all those forcorte stickers.

After a while i then decided to have window tints put on and added a bee sting arial.

Then over the next four months i was busy and most noticeable i bought a set of Fiat 500 Abarth 16" alloys, Wind deflectors, The removal of side bump strips and badges, front punto mud flaps, TI Stickers, Colour coded wing mirrors and Wind screen wash nozzles, Side smoked indicator lenses and Aero wind screen wipers.

Finally i have know had 35mm Gmax lowering spring put on which has made a huge inprovement to handleing and looks of the car with picture to come.

So current car specification is:

So what does everyone think?
The car looks amazing, looks like a rally car. Got a few questions for you

1. Where did you get the mudflaps?
2. Where did you get that front grill, it looks gorgeous, I want one.
3. That colour is fantastic, what is it?

cheers

haha cheers m8, just bought a stilo front splitter and sporting side skirts aswell that will be on it soon.

The rear mud flaps are just universal and picked them up from my local garage but the front are punto aftermarket from fiat them selves in the clearence section.

I got the front grill from FK.com (i think) but many places sell them now and can be picked up quite cheep to now. It is tecnacally called the FK front grill.

The colour is Baltic Grey (681) i think. Only ever seen one other car in this colour, i love it because its realy unusual.

I think that this colour is the best you can get to be frank. Looks so elegant.

I see, the mudflaps I like a lot, maybe I will take a trip to the scrappie and see if there are any laying around. Thanks for the info on the grill

Keep up the good work, car looks sick

Yer it was one of the reason i bought it. lol

I would definatly buy mudflaps new just makes thing a whole lot easyier puls they aint that expensive as at a scrappie you then have to deal with rust, also the fiat mud flaps that were sold on cars when new are rubbish and tiny.

Yup i sure will, just about happy and nearly finished with the outside now.

Nice car this, looks really clean in the flesh, i approve ;) would look better a little lower but that here nor there really.

Oh and please please please if you must paint the rear drums paint them black - no one needs to show off their drums, its just bringing un-needed attention to the fact it doesn't have rear discs. Smaller cars don't really need rear discs to stop very well but they still not for showing off IMO. Calipers on the front, go for it, tbh with that colour bodtwork and wheels any colour would look good, green, blue or even purple would look good or just classic red. Don't think silver would stand out much but then that maight be the look your after.

Hope you liked the van ;)

Cheers, yer i plan to lower further in the future just where i live at the moment its not practicle.

Yer i have decided to paint the front silver and the back black going for a discreate look. Im definatly not a fan of painted drums either just emphasies the fact its a small car.

Yer the van looked ace.

That's a very nice Punto you've got there :) I really like the subtle mods you've done (y)

Also, I was wondering from which brand the wind deflectors are and where you got them. Thanks.

Cheers, yer that is what i was going for was subtle but things that make it stand out a little.

Yer as SamuraiDragon suspected they are team heko wind deflectors i think they are the best ones for puntos. I got mine off ebay cost me about £30 and are realy easy to fit.

just wondering those wind deflectors should fit onto a mk2a shouldnt they? im fancying a set
