lovin the engine bay, how did you get the rocker cover that damm shinny??
also im guessing that there 15" subs, do thoughs little sony amps give em enough power???
I polished the rocker cover up myself took me 3 days using a bench grinder with special mops and soaps. The subs are two 12'' alpine sups with two song xplod amps, sounds great!

The engine bay is absloutly brilliant, it looks fantastic! the polishing has worked a treat! the manifold is a very classy touch, top marks A+.....

The ice install however is a little poor... bit of an unusual configuration with the boxes, did you build them your self or have it done? I strangly quite like the angle and position as its orginal, but if you are gonna feature your amps you need to spend a bit of cash on some decent ones!

Sony Xplod 222's are designed and mainly used for 6x9's and components????

the RMS must be dissapointing... ok you atleast got 2 of the little babies and they dont look too bad, but you really could get a muchg better sound if you amp the subs up properly. The way you have done it gives you double the work with the wiring and setup (ie.2x powercables etc.. unless you split everything and put pressure on the cables?) for less power than a 4 channel amp?

I dont wanna seem to critical, because i think the little cinq looks great. Jus that a few strange decisions with the i.c.e install? You seem to of gone the Halfords route just to get the big names in the boot. Sony and Alpine are great makes, but the equipment you have installed is the lowest standard they make.... i'd budget an install like that at around £80 a piece for the amps and £40-60 for each sub.

really for something in the region of £300 you could of doen a little better e.g. maystar QX 600watt 5 channel amp, JBL or 1822's for the Subs... could of even gone the low range rockford route and got the wicked looking new punch subs.

After all the critical crap, i think for a basic sound you will get average performance and unless your mates are really into i.c.e in a big way you wont get any stick as superfically you have done a great job! So congrats on the little yellow speed machine and keep modding!

once again that is a wicked engine bay and you obiously put a lot of time in.... how much was the manifold or was it the standard but jazzed up? sorry not alot of knowledge bout cinq's got a punto myself.

awesome install man, and dont worry about wat kev said about the quality of products, all about wat u can afford to spend on each bit an how well they go together, i have a sony x-plod sub (which are apperently proper s**t) and a cheapish mag audio amp, together they sound truly awesome in my eyes, exactly how i wanted my ICE to sound, even tho i now need a power cap cause if i turn it up enough then the bass dims the lights at night haha.

and on the engine bay, i bloody love it, wat strut brace is that, where did u get it, and how easy it is to fit?

keep up the good work man, (y)

Thanks for your comments kev dont mind the odd criticism but i bought the subs and amps all boxed up off ebay for £150!!!! And being only 17 working in a bodyshop and not getting paid alot i thought was bargain and i cant complain about the sound quality at all i think its amazing. Oh and my car a seicento :p

Cheers mase! I bought the strut brace off ebay a while back think its was a novitec one only paid 30 quid for it bargain, the only prob i had with it was that you have to turn the battery around apart from that fairly easy to fit, cheers mate! (y)

that was a bit of a bargin! ebays great, i also got most of my stuff for the punto off of there...

total respect for the engine bay and for £150 you have paid your money and taken your choice! for that kinda cash you have got your self a decent system that in a sei (im a fool sorry, being so small) will sound good.

(y) great mods on a budget which most of us are! nice car...

no probs man, all about different lookin installs!

could u PM me with details on the polishing, like how u went about it an stuff as well want a polished rocker cover, or would u consider doin one for me if the price was right? hehe (y)

I too have an Xplod amp - XM480GTX. It powers a 10" JBL GT-4 sub. The install ain't that pretty (the box is carpeted with a pinky sort of carpet) but that'll all change soon!
The best part though is the price - amp, sub, wiring, headunit and a pair of 4 inch coaxials, plus the materials to build my enclosure cam to just shy of 200 quid. It sounds like a lot more

got to disagree id have alpine gear anyday over jbl unless it was top end jbl power series which is overpriced, admitedly the sony explod gear is poor but its cheap which is what makes the final choice really

If those subs are the same as the one's I've just bought, they're RM Audio RMS530 12" subs, not Alpine.

Scroll to the bottom of that page.

Currently sitting in my room, waiting until I have some more cash before amping the Cinq to fit them. Still they're all plugged in and working nicely where they are :D
