Bravo (Classic) Van with a difference!!!.

Introduction

Heres the replacement for my highly abused yet extremely reliable Bravo.... Another Bravo (y) I'm moving up a year here :D Not going to be bitten like the last time, this is going to have a strip down and re-rustproof with a few bits to be thrown in too (copper lines all round are in the plans). Most importantly, this car is going to be converted to a van and painted black with some "toys" installed... More pics soon! :)

Going through this entire thread, i realised your Tailight was smashed too, Mine was the same, till i replaced it :p, Made a lamp with the old one, would upload a pic, but FF wont let me upload anymore :(

If your stuck for another tail light we have at least 4 spare sets ;) donated members get unlimited storage space too :)

mal, would you maybe consider HGT Sideskirts ? that would really top her off!!!:slayer:

I was considering a set, however even a 1.6 GT is a very rare sight here and ive only ever seen one HGT on Irl plates (n) As suggested by neddy earlier in the thread, I'll be going for a set of Alfa 146 skirts as theyre a direct fit (y)

The bumper is temporary untill I get a Marea TD100 bumper with fogholes. But its looking good as it is :)

Heres that daylight pic!

Now I might have gone mad but I'll be having another shot at tinting the rear window limo black. The fronts I'll tint too but I'm aiming to have a spare set of doors. My normal set with the 147 handles with 70% light pass tint and another set of doors with limo tint and exotic handles for show purposes... Just a thought you know ;)

Back to studying for exams, just give me a week and a bit then the fun can commence... ;)

The repeaters are the darker type unlike the straight orange type pre 99, clear repeaters just wouldnt look nice on these cars but once again thats just my opinion! :p

The only thing I'll be aiming for is a euro rhd tail light so I'll have 2 reverse lights and fit an aftermarket foglight on the new bumper when its fitted, the only one in existance with a narrow recess for the tail light ;)

Had to cut pipes to suit, I didn't get pics of them. So we move foreward to test fitting...

Then a mock up (y) Convenient wheel is convenient :spin:

So onto the rubbish bumper...

And it sounds very different, I can see another video coming soon (y)

Stay tuned, there may be a custom effort on the way...! :chin:

haha, love the exhaust!, must sound so much different!

The lamp was from my mother, i think its from IKEA, i shall find out;)

Cheers, it actually does! If youre going to do this with your car you can see where I had to cut a bit out of the back of the car for it to fit like this. Also, I had a big backbox on my previous car, didnt make any difference!
Ive often wanted to do that with some car parts lying around, I have a car seat in the front garden for when the weathers nice for example :p

isnt it a drain hole for water build up?

Thats what I thought however...

The hole is for if you have a silencer put in, you have a bolt that goes through to hold it in. (y)

After I did a bit of research I found out you can get a "tunable" silencer for this exhaust... Wont be needing that! :p

water is in exhaust gases and if you do lots of small trips and the car doesn't get fully upto temperature you get water left in the exhaust which corrodes the exhaust and shortens its life. So it was a reasonable theory but i should expect that bit is made from stainless so water is gonna be ney bother to it at all..

was about too say why would you need to drain water when hot gasses comes out of the exhuast? :p i always get alot of water in my exhuast when i clean it i just start the car up with full throttle on and paint my garage doors black :D

Leaves the doors black?! :p and thats with a cat I'm guessing? Wont be doing that myself though ;)

Hence why a lot of cars here have knackered exhausts within 30k miles due to school runs and trips to the local shop. Thankfully for the exhaust I put up at least 60 miles a day :)

if the car aint going to be used for it not to produce hot gasses then i wont bother ill walk haha but no i have a 4-2-1 de cat manifold straight through into my 4" sportex take alook in my thread in my sig :p btw love your projects my confeshion your the first members motor thread i look at haha! or look out for :p

A very clean MK2 and in a nice colour! Seen my one? :p I take it a supersprint? Cant get one for these (n) Nothing to stop one making one though...

I may have let the cat out of the bag
