Re: My First Car named Eleanor

The octanes are on low profile tires XD and the punto is standard ride height. I think thats whats causing the alloys to look really small XD. Need to decide if lowering. Just speedbumps etc

I like it allot, How long did it take you to smooth out the front bumper?
Im planinng on buying another front & Rear bumper to smooth hopfully

Really nice job you've done there, must admit though, the news alloys look better silver imo..
and sell those Sporting alloys on ebay

To be truthful i wouldnt waste your money on new bumpers. There is no point. I smoothed my bumpers when they were still on the car . No problems i just had to drive around 1 day with primed front bumper. P40 is the way to go with smoothing really easy to use its basic fibreglass paste. Easier to apply than standard fibreglass. You can also plastic weld bumpers. it took me around 4hours start to finish on my front bumper. Will be smoothing the rear hopefully soon

Re: My First Car named Eleanor

Thats a different but good lookin car you have there, I have lots of respect for anyone that does all their own styling and work especially plastic, it can be a nightmare to work with!!

Just a suggestion but at the back you could narrow the number plate recess and use a square plate. Too many smooth out a bumper totally or have a ridiculous scooped effort with a square plate. Its nice to see it being applied properly

As for lowering, you could go for maybe a 20mm drop? You mentioned about obese sleeping policemen being a problem where you live.... 20 mm might not be as noticable as say a 50 or 60 mm drop but the advantage is you can keep your teeth when crossing one and have most of the comfort with much improved handling

Induction Kit

HEY guys quick update on my punto. Sorted my induction kit. Few weeks ago I was up at Halfords and they were selling off tons of stuff. I got my Pipercross induction kit for 10! . Bought of ebay a heat shield. Look shiny/cool and would spice up my engine bay. What you guys think?
