Thought I would add a few photos up of my new car.

1.8 TDDi Zetec LX.

Test drove an estate, was a 1.6 petrol, but didn't feel right, plus, it was a estate...not really what I was looking for. And it was misfiring...which didn't give a good first impression at all .

Really pleased with it, £1700 in the end, will need some new tires in a few months on the back, and possibly on the front due to a slow punture, not sure if it was flat from them not using it for a while.

Found it really quiet for a diesel as well, when I drive my mums (Dispatch) you can tell its a diesel all the time, this you cant.

Nice and comfy as well, drove it back from Fawley (30ish miles away), and was lovely, often got fidgety in the Punto on the same distance.

alloys arent original - have been replaced at some point those are from a fiesta, dont think it came with alloys, there is no such model as a zetec LX, its probably an LX with a zetec engine

why you bought a car with a flat tyre? wouldve been asking for a replacement at least, and car hasnt been used in while? wouldve been enquiring why

Good luck getting spare parts in that colour - Mine is the same colour (state blue) and they are rare as hens teeth

Think you paid over the odds for it personally think less than 1500 wouldve been a fair price, however i probably wouldve walked away from it given it had a flat front tyre and as you said 'hasnt been run in a while' - not how i would have a car for sale looking thats for sure

Opps, always getting confused, yeah its a LX with a Zetec engine.

Tire wasn't completely flat, was driveable, and doesn't appear to have gone down since I got it, and I'm not sure if it hadn't been driven for a while...but it could be why it was flat, it started first time, and drove well, I drove it around the close, step dad took it for a better drive down the dual carriage way.

Might have paid a little over the top, they wanted £2000 for it, but managed to get them down to £1700 by saying about the tire, and that it will proberly need two back ones in 6 months or so.

Looks ok. Just a bog startard Focus in my eyes though. Needs some personalisation (y)

Not sure what I can really do really, not keen on mods, anyone able to suggest small things? Tempeted to get a new head unit after Xmas, as it has the standard Ford one in, with a cassate player (6 disk changer under the passenger seat though).

Was thinking similar

Did it come with a warrentiee Kier

Funny how it just appears to be everyone on here that thinks I've been ripped off lol.

I dont see how I have, I spent hours looking for ones, and I could have got a cheaper one, but not around here, prices where all around the same, for similar mileage etc.

And it was a private seller, so I didn't...although warranty from garages for a second hand car are worthless anyway :p

Unless you get a ford headunit you will loose the use of the steering wheel controls if you have them

You can get adaptors so you can use the steering wheel controls with an aftermarket HU but they are extremely poor and 9/10 times do not work

Well as long as you're happy with it, then thats the main thing, its only a general observation. ;)

Very nice! I like that colour :) I was persuaded to buy my friend's Focus after years of saying I'd never have another Ford (I hated my MKIV Cortina) - he's quick, comfy, practical and still looks good  I hope you have as good a time with yours

ps: just change the cassette player for the 6000CD unit It's only a single disc player, but it's an 'original' fit

If I change it to a 6000CD, will I be able to keep using the CD changer? Kinda tempted to leave it in, as hopefully no one will want to steal it .

yes

The big hint to knowing this answer is that it says 'cd changer compatible' on the front

lol...didn't see that

Nice Focus - can't go wrong with a Focus (y)

Thanks :)...hopefully not lol. Thanks for moving it as well (Guess it was you lol :p).

Appears that its not a slow puncture, hasn't gone down at all since I pumped it up. Still keeping an eye on it, just incase.
