Hello ff , my rear screenwash squirter has stopped working , theres no blockages in the nozzle(mounted on the screen), theres no water coming thru the pipe towards the nozzle , the pump in the washer bottle pumps like buggery,i can feel water going thru but theres nothing at the other end - does anyone know what way the pipework goes the car body so i can trace/replace it , many thanks

They can get mould growing in the tubes and blocking them. Keeping screenwash fluid in the water helps stop this. It's worth getting the pipe off and sucking and blowing on it to see if it's blocked, and maybe freeing it :yuck:without stripping out 90% off the cars trim. Good luck

Renegade_8 , i was really hoping that you wernt gonna say that , but such is life , do you know is it ok (mot wise) if i re-run the pipework clipped/cable tied under the car along side any fuel/brake lines on the r/h side ,as you said it save pulling off 99% of the trim-something i dont really wanna do.

before you go doing all thatt why not try blowing a compressed airline down it.Remove it off the pump under the bonnet and blow it through from there after taking off at the rear as well it might work

Hagar , done all that mate , i got loadsa water pumping from the pump but its not reaching the rear window , the pipework dissapears when it goes through the bulkhead just infront of where the glovebox is, i loose it after that til it appears in the body by the nearside indicator and goes up to to rear window, i did the compressed air blast earlier today funnily enough mate-still no joy tho.

I dont think the rear screen wash is an MoT item. The testers manual is on line somewhere anyway. Certainly clipping it under the car would be legal. The existing pipe must run under the headlining, scary:eek:

Renegade_8 , thanks for that ,il look online for the mot stuff tomorrow ,the existing pipework runs from the boot lid thru the boot behind th l/h side storae pocket thing just below the indicator/brake light pod i loose it from there , as you said earlier i bet it goes under every bit of trim , which'l be a git to get off and an even s.o.b to get back on! il replace it under the car over the weekend at work!! that should drive my gov mad-(y):D
