does the haynes manual for 'Fiat Marea 115 ELX Weekend' (1999-T reg) cover repair to head gasket?
and does anyone have an ISBN for it? i've tried google but cannot find one!
i ask the first question first because the last haynes i bought for a vauxhall combo/corsa seemed to lack engine repair, bearings, etc, etc, whatever happened to DIY!
i'm not after haynes specifically i just grew up with them, anything that will go through procedure and has settings etc will do
:)

many thanks, live link too, easy easy,
just had a look-see at the 'what's inside' page which shows the contents pages - but it's not very specific,
do you know if it specifically covers the head gasket repair info?

Here's the pages from the Fiat Marea workshop manual dealing with head gasket replacement on the 1.8 16v engine.

Dave.

We aim to please.

and i am giving top marks to all re the quality of help!

i've had a look at the manuals,
re special tools (Vol.1-12.Engine 1747 Removing.pdf, page 23),

1852154000 - etc are these a regular star heads, or are they like the 'head cover bolt heads' that look like a 'finned' star?
if so can anyone say what collection of sizes i'll need, and perhaps give the bit type a proper name !! - ie 'finned star' i'm sure won't get me very far in a google search!!

eg the picture on the right side of
http: // www. wikipedia . org / wiki/Torx
did not show it.
(sorry i'm not allowed to post URLs just yet so have broken it apart)

1860831000 - is this just a convenient pulley holder while torque is applied to centre bolt/nut? if so does anyone have a picture of the other side of it! ie, rather than buy, i might be able to fabricate it,

i could look as i go!
but i really do much prefer to have all the tools i'll need before i start the job,
rather than having surprises and then needing to stop and buy before i can continue,
i'm sure y'all know what i'm getting at :)

the type of bits you need are ribe bits similar to torque bits but they dont fit u need a size 12 for the head bolts well i did when i done mine a couple of weeks agomost car spare shops do them in sets of 6 different sizes priced between £20 and £30 depending on where you buy them
