Rather than hunt down a set of good condtion doors, do fiat still sell new doors for the MK1 uno?

obviously im not expecting them with all the components on, just the door shell itself so I can just transfer all the parts over etc.

Someone i know says they do but i cant find anywhere online that still does.

Do you have a place near you that does car paint and panels? They could get you a pattern part I suppose, you could put wax oil in them and stone chip protect the bottoms.

yeah there will be a panel place near me somewhere.. would prob just order the door shells from fiat directly.

you buying seperate shell n skin or just skin? re skining a door is pain in the arse, am sure there good uno doors up my mates yard. i off up there either tomorrow if i get no work out of a toyota i am moting or friday

if your scrappers has some good (eg no rust/dents) MK1 doors then let me know. MK2 good aswell although MK1 better

they dont sell complete doors though, just skins.

i dunno blooming difference in mk1 an mk2 uno will look see if the vicars car still there that was like new

MK1 and MK2 doors are the same externaly.. interior panel is different.

if a brand new whole door is only £50 like it say in other thread, then may as well get them as easier to prep to paint the right colour

Thats my theory.. although eper only lists MK2 doors now so ill have to get a complete MK2 door anyway to swap the bits from that into the new doors. which will be a problem as i wanna keep the leccy windows and the mk2 motors dont match the mk1 connectors etc.

although if I can only Get mk2 doors, another option would be to get a bodyshop to cut out the interior panel from the door and weld in the panel from the rotten doors. problem solved

sorry to crash thread, but can you get all the little breaky plastic clips from fiat aswell? As I have changed my door cards and they are dangling by zip ties and I wrecked all but two of the plastic lugs

i would expect so. if not, might be able to use some from another car.

I bought complete new doors from a fiat dealer not too long ago, you should still easily be able to get a set of MK1 doors brand new
