i have a 1976 fiat with a 1975 fiat engine. i bought a new electric choke carb for it that i do not know how to hook up correctly. the car will not run right now because of my issue. i was wondering if anyone out there knew how to hook it up the right way so i can get my car running again. thanks for any input that you guys have

its a 1976 fiat 124 spider with a 1975 fiat 124 spider engine

What carb is it? Do you have any pics? If the set up is anything like the electric chokes on old VW's (Solex single and Weber twin chokes) set the choke flaps so that they are closed but will open slightly when you gently press on them, tighten the clamp holding the choke to the carb, run a live feed (when the ignition is on, usually the + terminal on a VW coil) to the spade connector on the choke, pump the throttle 2 or 3 times, then hold the pedal about 1/4 to 1/2 way and turn the engine over, resist the urge to pump the throttle or may flood it. Fingers crossed.

Sounds like a Weber 32/34 from a later X-1/9 with automatic choke. You can get a manual choke conversion kit but it may work out better to sell the carb' you have and find a manual choke one instead.

thank you for your input... i will get to it as soon as possible... the coil to the carb sounds like it will work perfect... thanks guys...
