fiat supercharger project - fuel injectors maximum pressure ?

My Fiat Multipla 1.6elx (technically almost identical to Bravo) is currently being supercharged. My engineer needs to know the max. pressure in bar that the standard fuel injectors will allow. Specifically whether 0,5 bar is attainable?

you will need to change the injectors the standard one will not deliver any where near the bhp you are trying to atain, you might have to change the fuel pump and filter to performance type and fuel regulator to adjustable type for maximum useage of your upgrade

I agree we may have to upgrade the injectors & pump. Do you have numbers to back up your recommendation such as what pressure do the standard injectors deliver & cc/min?

fuel pump pressure is 5.7 bar and system pressure is 3.0+/-0,2 bar without vacuum and 2.5 with vacuum regulated pressure ( not a lot )

Here's where my engineer is at ( he is a VW-VR6 specialist, not Fiat):
- Compressor & intercooler are running with excellent torque increase at low rev's
- High-rev power is our secondary objective. Certainly fuel pressure needs to increase by at least 50% to get to ~160bhp. He plans to fit a variable fuel pressure controller that mechanically controls pressure depending on compressor state. By this approach he hopes to restrict the chiptuning effort to the ignition fields plus not replace the standard injectors. Question is how much extra pressure can the injectors safely handle?

the ones on at the moment deliver 2 litres in 60 seconds and most of that goes back to the fuel tank because the injector regulator only goes up to 3 bar max so an FSE regulator would be much better but i dont advise useing the injectors in the car the will just blow the seals

so if i understand correctly, the standard injectors are 500cc/min which sounds like enough capacity. But they cannot handle a pressure significantly over 3 bar?
