chaos, but fun!

Went to Manchester on Friday to printworks to watch Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D. Ace. Got my mate to drive us there, and met up with another friend who'd come over from Liverpool on the train. Watched the film, I liked it - i dunno if others did, but meh, what can you do!

Annyway, we had about an hour to kill before the train was due - so got summit to eat and chilled out before heading to the train station. Got there, and spent a while trying to figure out which train, where from and why it wasn't direct like it should've been.. ended up missing the train. So i asked my mate if he'd mine driving to Liverpool (didn't want to leave her stranded in the middle of Manchester!). He said yer no problem, if he could find his keys.. They weren't in his pockets. uh oh. not good. so ok, we retraced our steps all the way back to the cinema - no sign of the keys. Not good, so we thought best thing to do was head back to the car and ring the RAC or something. Spent a while longer wondering round Manchester trying to find the car park, sort of laughing and joking that the car would be there, and we'd find the keys in the ignition (no-one actually thought that'd be the case, was expecting car to be gone).

finally found the car park, Chris legged it up the stairs to check if his car (52 Plate 206 Quicksilver) was there or not. It was, he went to open the door, it opened and there in the ignition were the keys. Couldn't beleive it. Set off for liverpool, fell asleep in back of car - woke up coming into liverpool, woke friend and dropped her off safely, then headed back for Blackpool, stopped in a Tescos and then home to St Annes.

Got home for around 2:30am. Chatted to friend in Liverpool for a bit, went to bed around 3am, setting my alarm for 7am.

Up at 7am, myself and numpty who'd left his keys in the car (chris) round to meet up with phoenix (viv), gex (chris) and his dad. Headed up to Grizdale forest for a day of rally watching.
Awesome fun, we don't like to stand in one place at these events - we walk round the stages, and try and see as much of if it as possible.
Highlights being, seeing Wilson and Wilson in the Focus WRC car with glowing front brakes and exhaust, helping get a 205 back on the stage after he got a corner wrong and landed in a ditch, having a good look round an evo that had stopped with mysterious electrical faults and then just the whole day, there was a seriously quick nova blasting round - guy was driving very well - awesome to watch.

so yeah, once the stages had closed we headed to the pub for a quick drink before coming home - Chris nearly loosing the 206 on a slippy corner (he'd really got into rallying!).

Got home for around half 5. Got cleaned up, got changed and headed to an 18th birthday party with a couple of other friends. It's hardwork partying with a load of 18 year olds after a day like i'd had! But, it had to be done.

came home from that via kebab place for 2ish. Slept till 1pm, yay (y) then got up, bought some christmas tree deocorations (purple tinsel, ace) then did some work on the car. Nice chilled day, relaxing.

so yeah, been a bit of mad weekend - but fun. here are some random pictures.

3D glasses cool, especially at 8am when you're not very awake!
