Hi guys,
ive just got a soneyericsson k800i on 3 mobile, dose anyone know how i can get rid of the 3 services animations that scroll across the bottom of the screen.

Ive just been on esato, i have to get the firmware changed to a SE one, only £4.50 over the net, gonna give it a go.

you dont have to get the firmware changed as i had the same thing on my nokia 6280 and frank had it on his k800i ill try remember how i got rid of it.

EDIT: on the nokia 6280 you go into display setting then standby mode settings then its called instant viewer select the option and turn it off. so k800i you looking for something similar...

but i already helped afaik the scrolling message thing is generally only on 3 handsets.

EDIT: on the nokia 6280 you go into display setting then standby mode settings then its called instant viewer select the option and turn it off. so k800i you looking for something similar...

Don't you mean active standby?

nope active standby is the music player and radio thing.

the instant viewer is adverts for different service provided by 3.

thanks for the replys, but ive already done a firmware upgrade to the latest version, also you can use the supplied usb cable that come with the phone. i got
the firmware from www.wotanserver.com

the k800 is a really good phone, just realised once you take a picture you can upload it to your own personal blog, you get a blog address when you send your 1st picture.

Please tell me you didn't pay for a firmware upgrade!!! You can get it done free on the Sony Ericsson wedsite and should NEVER have to pay for it!!!!!!

the phone had three(3) networks customised firmware which i didnt like so i've installed a generic version which is alot better, it was only £4.50 anyway.
