Or should I invest in 15+feet of phono cable and plug my freeview box into my Hi-Fi set up?

They're ok, I nearly bought one twice but digital radio is shockingly poor in terms of signal strength across the UK so decided against it. They use a fairly insensitive tuner which doesn't help. There's a forum out there and lots of info about them, can't remember where though

I use my freeview

my TV speakers are pish though.

My Hi-Fi stuff is good quality but at the other end of the room.

Can you get all the dab channels on freeview? mines an old OnDigital nokia box

No, I believe you get a slightly different selection on freeview compared. I don't use my TV speakers but my hifi too...

If i don't want my TV on I just turn it off and of course it still plays through my hifi

I just cant be arsed making 15+ft of phono wire!
