one thing ive wondered with GPS speed camera detectors. what happens if the front screen is heated, or coated with.. (i forget what the stuff is called now) but basically i know sat nav gps has issues with some screens - do detectors have the same problems?

Yeah all GPS stuff have problems with screens, its not the heated ones tho, its the ones that have the UV protection on them. Theres ways around it, theres usually a patch up by the rear view mirror thats not covered or down the bottom on some cars. Failing that you can get some form or ariel that boosts the GPS signal

you know of any kind of polishes that can mess with the signal? trying to use my gps in my mates 206 quicksilver and it wouldnt play at all thru the front windscreen. although we used it in there a few months ago it was fine.

worked outside the car, and worked out the back window - just not the front!

Not sure why it would of worked before but not then........a general rule of thumb is modern french cars have UV screens, so i would presume your mate has got one on there 206 which would be blocking the signal. Try holding it in front of the rear veiw mirror and you'll probably find it works

i think that did work, i wedged the reciever up near the sunvisors. ended up putting the receiver on the parcel shelf in the end. might have worked before cos it was summer, no cloud cover - but there was this time.

My mum's scenic has a UV screen, Renaults are imfamous for blocking GPS signals, yet on her car my tomtom GPS receiver works fine, I found that odd.

Matt; you should tell your company you want to sell your product online with low overheads to people on here and various other forums that don't dislike advertising.

But we do sell online, and if you search ebay theres a company called bad ass motors who sell them cheaper than we do...........but yet buy them from us..........they obviously dont like profit!

but sell with discounts ;)

Well if they can sell cheaper than you, you're selling them too expensively yourselves or too cheaply to them!
