Ok i can see the funny side and not so funny side to this:

:bang:

I made up a banner for a mates 18th ready to hang from a bridge. Did it on a kingsize bed sheet with spray paint. I thought, rather than do it in the garage ill do it ouside on the drive in a well ventilated area. Stupidly i didnt think to put anything underneath it as i thought the sheet would be thick enough to absorb it. How wrong i was. I now have; 'happy 18th Sam' In HUGE letters permantely sprayed on my drive. I tried using stuff from our cupboard like 1001 even though its for carpets, but obviously didnt work. So i thought i'll park my car over it. My mum got back late to night and leaves early tomorrow. So basically i got till bout 6 2moro to get rid of all the evidence. And no spraying the rest of the drive a different shade of black to match isnt a possibility although i trid to blend the letters and it just made the 'H' worse. lmao. :D Any ideas.

Borrow a jetwash and blast it off?

Pour thinners all over it and rinse off with the hose (this WILL cause severe environmental damage though)?

Wire brush and lots of hard scrubbing? (or maybe wire wheel in an angle grinder)

white spirit and a broom? or maybe sand it off? lol

could always just get some paint stripped? dont use thinner.. it will make it worse.. trust me.. i triedto clean off spray from when i sprayed a bumper.. it just smeared all over and looked worse than it did to start with.

there is special graffiti emover stuff... try that

Its tarmac so cant really sand it off. Will have a look for some remover stuff tomorrow. Will give white spirit a go first as weve got some of that lying round. A powerwash is too much effort, i'd rather take the moaning from my mum. Got to take a pic first for future reference. lmao. :D

A power washer i would have to either go asking all the neighbours if they have one or go and rent one and either struggle getting it into my cinq passenger seat  (not gonna happen) or have a long walk. Covering it with sand will be fine but shed go nuts enough about an oil leak. (n) Will try some remover stuff before i start to panic. (y)

My uno had the normal slight oil leak of a 10 year old car and when my parents went away I parked it on our very expensive new drive. Sure enough in the morning when I went to work there were a few spots of oil, ****! I used degreaser (stuff you use for your hands, grease-eaters) and pressure washer, it worked for oil. I nearly shat myself about that!

Paint is easier.

I suppose any kind of abrasion used to remove the paint would only leave the same words indented on the drive so you need to get the paint off using chemicals.

If you wash it using a pressure wash your Mum will likely notice it is cleaner than usual then she'll quiz you.
