Heya guys, just thought id drop by and ask you girls/guys if anyone has a pair of Skull Candy earphones/headphones. Im planning on getting a pair but didnt want to buy them until I heard what other people thought of them. Ive been looking at the 'Skull Candy Ti Chick Fur' and ive read some good reviews.
So...

Are they good sound quality?
Where did you get them from?
Price?
Anyone seen any good offers on websites I can trust?

Thanks in advance for any replys :)

i own a set of hesh and a set of fmjips brilliant headphones and take the knocks surprisingly well. sound quality is really good although with a lot of middle.

prices on a par with lower end sennheisers and the like and i get mine of iheadphones or through their ebay shop as sometimes it can be a little cheaper.

hope that helps:)

I've got a pair of £20 skull candy in-ear headphones, they're brilliant!, really good quality and block out all external sound perfectly. would recommend 100%(y)

I had a look on that website and they had some good offers but when I checked reviews about the website alot of people gave it bad reviews and said to steer clear of there.
Are they alright? Any problems?

Thanks. I had a look at the in-ear phones but they looked slightly uncomfortable, maybe slightly painful?

i have some sony groove in ear ones from about 1998- they're good!

Lol wow they have lasted awhile then. I have the usual ipod ones and they recently fell apart. Im not spending £20 on a replacement pair when they dont last long so thought I would invest in some swish ones.

never had a problem. payment is nice and simple and they arrive quickly. quite a few of my friends have used them also and have also not had any problems.

Sennheiser all the way.

When Skull Candy appeared first over here I knew a few DJs that fell for the design, and were generally back on their old cans within a few weeks - they're bloody terrible! Used a pair for about half a set myself, trying them out, ran out to the car during a long track to get my Senn HDs back.

To be fair im not a DJ or much of a musical genius like my brother lol. I guess I am attracted to the pretty colours and the furr lol. Like will double up to ear muffs when its cold :D

Doesn't mean you need to deal with crap audio quality, though does it?

You don't need to be spending over a hundred notes on a pair like I basically have to - build quality increases heavily with price on Senns, moves from the Chinese plant to the Irish or HQ (Germany) plants. The Chinese stuff doesn't last pissing time DJing, the Irish/German stuff does. The Chinese stuff will be absolutely fine for normal listening and the sound quality is the same.

if you've got the money to spash that is lol

ive actually asked for skull candy lowriders in pink and white for xmas :)

yeah beats headphones are freaking awesome my housemate has a pair!
i settled for a pair of sennheiser HD205 over ear ones , comfy as anything really good sounds and awsomely cheap!

i have had a couple of hesh headphones myself and i can tell you this.
First up, they do offer great sound quality. Waterfall sounds actually sound like water compared to cheap headphones that sound more like static.

Second. They do feel well made but the first pair i had broke one afternoon when i simply put them on.
Thirdly (and this is where my faith was restored) when i contacted the skullcandy in europe (the uk one didn't seem to exist) they told me just to send the pair to them and they'll return a new pair.
That's exactly what happend.

I'm impressed with them either way. It's helpful their phones have the cable designed to separate in the middle, that way you may use them with your phone.

I have a pair of Skull crushers that i bought a few years back, excellent sound quality and jaw dropping bass when i first had them.......they broke within about 3 months though and i had no luck getting them replaced under warranty. The only thing i ever used mine for was gaming and i now have a pair of turtle beaches so its all good:D

to be honest i dont use them anymore as i have no need for a walkman or ipod...

however i do use Sennheiser in the house and they are fantastic. really like their stuff.. used them for years at home and in studios... but they are bloody expensive

You never seem to lack in the common sense department BBS (y)

Has to be Sennheiser's all the way no matter what IMO.

I would also recommend trying to get closed headphones if your not going for in-ear.

Always try: http://www.urbanz.co.uk/ If you like Skull Candy. Not read any reviews tho.
