im confused by the whole sat nav thing, would anyone care to enlighten me, would i get all maps etc included with it or are they seperate

it all depends on which one you buy gaz. Some units have maps built in and can update them via a DVD and a USB cable, others, like the Pocket PC you get the maps separately (obviously).

check out Maplin if you want a separate unit - they normally have some pretty good deals on the garmin stuff.

One thing you have to remember is the voice on mine isnt as loud as my sound system so when you need directions, you have to crank the volume down

ok cheers, i tend not to listen to music loud when im driving anyway, it seems strange after i spent so much money on the ice though lol

the aa are doing what looks to be a nice kit at the mo for £299, i will read more into that as i would rather all the maps already included and i could add to them if i wished

yay, spent £281 on a typhoon myguide 3500 today, it does exactly what it says on the tin and its also a pocket pc which i didnt know
