How is everyone feeling?

Anyone else feeling ill who can sympathise with me?

For two days I have felt really ill felt like the beginnings of a cold. However by day three I have come to the conclusion that it is a virus and there is no snot and very little sneezing.

My head hurts, my throat hurts, I can barely talk, everywhere aches, I feel run down and best of all in the last couple of hours i've now started to get really bad earache that still hurts after nurofen.

Had exactly the same, was fine at 1:44am when I went to bed, got up at 6:30am to those exact symptoms on Tuesday (literally couldn't speak to start with), it's now reduced to a soar throat

ive got the exact same

the yellow gunk will kick in tomorrow morning

I'm at the end of my 1st week of flu - last thursday had a sore throat, then friday had a temperture with shivering which was nice

felt a bit better saturday when temperture finally broke but come monday I had cough with nice green/brown stuff :yuck: and now I've just got the last remains of the cough.

I've been taking Beechams all in 1 and highly recommend that plus staying in bed as long as possible.

Uni schedule doesn't like me staying in bed much

i think i may be getting it but it could be that im run down with too many earlys at work. But i have been surrounded by diseased people lately as about 4 people at work are ill, me mam has been and me aunt has been too

Take 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen together (not more than 4 times a day) and perhaps a cup of tea or coffee for the caffeine.

Should reduce temperature and anti-inflamatory for the earache, plus painkilling strength not too far off morphine.

Hope you feel better soon - all you poorly folk.

Went to the uni shop about 3 hours ago got some Nurofen that has started to work however now its coming back again as the four hours are nearly up. Usually I do have both paracetamol and ibruprofen together but I havent got any paracetamol

It only has a half-life of four hours IIRC and as you are only mean to have three doses daily that's eight hours in between. So I usually say take one every four hours instead of two every eight hours. Let's not go into the technical maximum dose for an otherwise healthy person.........

I've only had 4 ibruprofen for today bout to have another two then go to bed so hopefully shudnt be too bad through the night
