Today, me and my band, Union Jackass, played the Breeze Festival. It's like and open air free event in Leeds. We were told yesterday it was like a "Battle of the Bands", which we were just like, ok cool.

So we get's there and played a few songs. First song my bass lead decided to pack in and the guitarist's wireless system went dodgy. But the show must go on as they say. So we played and finished, sure that we hadn't done enough. We later find out we've won the heat and been entered into the Finals taking place an hour later.

Now well stocked up on Red Bull (cheers, Alex22!), we're up for it. I fixed my dodgy lead and we played the best we've ever played. Only given one song to really make an impact on the judges meant we had to go all out. We were up against one other band and a shedload of really talented singers. But we won.

So we've won a few days in a top quality recording studio (worth about £500), help with a brand new top class website, loads of promotion in the area and best of all: an invitation to a big album launch party tomorrow night with Radio Aire and friends

Now if that don't make me cool.....what does?

we have a gig lined up for October. We have too much on at the moment to play gigs! (How "rockstar" does that sound!!!) Need to get this demo sorted. Then you can all hear us
