FIAT STRIKES!......was having a good day yesterday....finished a 9 hour shift knowing i had the next 3 probably sunny days to amuse myself, getting paid on friday, had plans for a blat round weardale in the sunshine, and an evening with mates. However some knocks surfaced from the rear of the dodgem under the floor, so a trip down to national tires this morning to be on the safe side before some hooliganism, which reveals...a knackered radius arm, rear bushes and at the front track rod ends and a cv boot....also cos it was 2 in the afternoon by the time it was looked at and prices gotten it has to stay in over night cos not all the bits have arrived...so i have to get the bus home and back in the afternoon tomorrow...oh and its gonna be 320 quid...

unfortunately its already there and it was minus a radius arm...tho i dont think there trying to fleece me on this one.....its had a few suspicious noises for a while now...they just got a bit terminal sounding...

Well it's back, no longer handling like a trolley with a wonky wheel, no extra dents or scratches on it and all the knocks rattles and bangs from underneath have gone, so cool, its nice when it goes into a garage and comes out fixed without the need for return trips

being part of a group isnt always a bad thing.
kwik fit seems to have a group rip the customer for as much as possible policy.
i can only vouch for the one i used but as i said they were fine with me

Same here Custard. Recently discovered one not too far from me. Service was professional, quick, and reasonably priced. Although I suppose it does only take one bad experience to ruin all that.

Here's hoping it never happens. I'm really pleased with them so far.

I'd go to National tyres before kwik fit, they not on same sell bonus as kwik fit & tend to employ 'older' more experienced mechanics.

A mate got ripped by kwik fit....he asked for continentals they put savas on and charged him for the contis, it took him having to get in touch with head office before they saw the error of their ways, national seem quite good from the experience i've had of them, tho i've had similarly good service from ATS down the road..(they are within 400 yards of each other on St. James's boulevard so if you live in newcastle area play them off against each other for the best price) i'd never use kwik fit, ever since when i took my uno in for a bit of minor work and they topped the radiator up with nowt but water.
