Someone (Paul?) posted a while back about a company that specialised in insurance for short periods, I think it was 24 hours?

I can't find the thread, does anyone know what I'm on about?

I need to insure the Panda for one day to get it from my house to Stuart's house (Stuartl). There's no point taking out a proper policy on it as it could be months before it's on the road.

i just ring my insurance an say i need 1 day cover on another car, they say ok and it usaly about £6

(But as Dave said, insurers seem to be more convinient these days and offer day policies so worth a try - My dad's with Churchill and they insure me on his car "per day")

I got temporary insurance for my Cinq on the Brava's policy at £10 a week TPFT or £15 FC. I say weekly as it often costs the same for one week as for one day!

yeah its either £10,50 or £21 per day (depending on which side of group 10/11 it lies).

They are even insuring me on my GTE for monday!! £21 though its only two hours aswell!!

My FC insurance on the punto covers me for 'most' other cars, but I am mean't to declare the reg number before hand to check whether they will do it or not, I could drive something like a 1.8 vectra, but not a scimitar, bravo HGT, coupe, punto GT etc not atall not no money will do it, not until I am 21 will I get so called unlimitedness.

does anyone know if this can be used on a car that isnt yours?

doenst really matter who owns the car as long as you have the pwners permission.

at 19 you could struggle to get cover TBH
