How are you getting on with the E-500, Owen?

Pics look niceeee (y) Love the shed one, looks really natural!

I love it, great camera! infact i meant to speak to you last night about how to use it properly, the manual is massive, and icant be bothered to read it :p

photos' are coming out wicked though like you say, and it's weird when i go out with the camera i dont realise that i've taken 400 photo's in around 20 mins...

dont read the manual :p just read a guide to the basics of photography and go from there. all cameras work on the same rules but just have extra features built on. at the end of the day, if you can get to grips with shutter speed, apeture, depth of field and focusing then ull have no problems :) all the digital stuff is what complicates it and its not that complicated anyway (y)

Manufacturers like to make you think that there camera is the next big thing.. but its still a camera, it still has all the same settings as any other camera and can be used in the same way as any other camera. Pick up an automatic SLR film camera from 20 years ago and its exactly the same to use as a top of the range digital SLR (bar the film and digital differences). They still have the P,S,A & M and they all do the same thing :p

Anyway, a few more piccies to add to the thread! I love this thread :D From Monkey Forest in Trentham, Staffordshire -

Some use the same such as Fuji use the Nikon F mount but generaly its each manufacturer to there own. you can get adapter rings to use a different brand lens on any camera but they dont tend to have all the features as it would using it on the proper camera etc.

It doesnt matter so much nowadays though as there are so many lenses out there for all brands.

Olympus have setup an "industry standard" lens mount but it hasnt taken off as much as they would like. so far the only other brand thats using it is Panasonic with there Lumix SLRs. maybe ital take off in the future, who knows :)
