any commetns welcome - constructive criticism also welcome just be aware of my hardware limitations! enjoy.

would have been better if i had an understanding of the 'golden mean' which i do now..

thanks for your comments! any pointers?

munkul, get in there mate lets see some!

rule of thirds etc is just a guide, its something i read, went "ooooo" and then carried on as i was. treat it as just that, a guide. trust you eye more :)

pointers wise, erm.. don't use digital zoom (i'm guessing thats whats gone on with the centre parcs picture?). experiment bouncing the flash off things, or diffusing it else it can mess up bits of a photograph.

on the picture of the car, it has underexposed the underside and over exposed the sky. have a play with composing shots, them moving the camera up or down, half pressing the button to lock the exposure, and then moving back to where it was and taking the shot.

learning how to fool the cameras metering system can be quite handy :)

ah right so by half pressing and taking a reference from another part of the 'view' you can use to your advantage. ahh i see. yeah zoom is a problem with only 3x optical on the cameras i don't have much scope.

got £500 burning my pocket its either blow it on a laptop or buy a cheaper laptop and a decentish camera..... or gets some new wheels... or a new bit for the drum kit... ahhhhh
