I'm a complete newby so be kind ;)
I have just bought my first mk2 2003 1.2 8V Punto Active.
The original HU lacks a bit for me so i ordered a new HU with bluetooth built in, unfortunately due to the intelligent Italian wiring, it wouldn't turn on with the ignition, a common problem i believe, so I've chosen to send that back and gone back to the original HU.
I have two problems, i want to be able to connect my phone in a way that mutes the radio when i receive a call and i would also like to play music from my iPod.
After looking for various methods i found the easiest would be to get a mini-ISO to RCA cable and use that for my iPod, then pay an extortionate amount for a bury handsfree kit. I then found this. I know it states that it won't work with factory HU's but i can't see why not, it looks to have the same blue mini-ISO input as the RCA cable.
Could someone advise me on the best approach or a new solution. I have a budget of £100 and don't mind attempting a bit of DIY :)

Thanks!

Unfortunately the Blaupunkt Bluetooth & USB adaptor (bought from Amazon, which says that it works for all models with CD changer after 2002) does not work in my OEM Blaupunkt radio/CD/CD changer. Blaupunkt stresses that the unit only works with aftermarket radios, but I saw that it worked for some people in their OEM Blaupunkts (Alfa Romeos) and decided to chance my arm.

The problem is that all the central mini iso connector pins (green socket, 6 pins) are missing in my radio-CD. On the other hand, even my own CD changer installation (which uses the blue mini iso socket, 8 pins) needs some extra wiring to work... Not the cleverest wiring, I would say, and very difficult to get accurate information as well.

My car is a Punto JTD mk2 (2002).
