i'm new to ice and have a few questions.
i've just bought a fli trap active 12" sub (still need to install it) and was wondering what kind of quality do high level inputs give? for some reason i imagine them to get pretty distorted. i'm no audiophile, hence the cheap sub... i just want some extra low end kick to my music.
ive got the stock (stilo) head unit atm, but i'll be getting a new aftermarket hu and running phono's in at some point.
when running high level inputs would it be best to about half the hu bass and adjust the gain on the sub to compensate? and also, what is the best way of rigging the remote wire? to my knowledge theres no remote input on the stick hu and i need a 12v feed for it, so i was thinking maybe rig it up to the cigarette lighter so its ignition controlled?
cheers, college

best way it to turn the head unit up full or the highest you would ever have it then turn the gain up on the amp untill it distorts then turn it back a little bit

there is a remote wire somewhere you just have to find it, im not sure on a stilo which one it is

okay thanks, i'll have a rummage around in the stilo section and see if i find anything. also, has anyone heard good / bad things abut the sub? one of my friends has the cheap-o mutant kit from halfords in a corsa and imo it sounds pretty good, i'm assuming that'll be just as good or better.
