I am addicted to bass.
Having spent the last few weeks without bass my depression has been geting worse and worse and now i just have the standard rear speakers running of the HU and i am an absolute mess.
I phoned my Psyche this morning and he has confirmed that i am actually going cold turkey from loud music and i can actually be in quite a volatile state.
I have the shakes and my heart is beating 10 to the dozen. :slayer:
Random i know but i thought that i would share.

::ROFLMAO::

i've visited that nightmare

I know your pain vol, when i had my stinger distribution block fcuking explode faulty piece of crap, i was without sound for 3 days and i nearly died lol.

3 days ohhh you must have nearly died lol. Well i have been since wednesday with nothing and nearly a month without bass in my own car
I do kind of like it now because i have stripped out all of the Interior from the rear seats backwards and the car sounds sweeet. If you are one of the lucky few to have heard my car then you will understand how having nothing to dampen the sound will be quite an experience.
I lost the photo of the arches when i had the stroker in otherwise i would show you a comparison
Anyway im off too deaden the rest of the boot, i thought that it would be easy but there are annoying bits everywhere.
Hopefully i shoud be able to get some pics up tonight.

My new HU has a function where if you hold the navigation stick down it cuts the pre-out off. Basically turns my system back to standard as all I have amped is my sub, HU amp powers all speakers.

I pressed it the other day and I have no clue as to how I listened to anything without bass?

And now I have my new HU I can play around with the EQ in more detail and I find myself listening to music I don't like just because its more bassy. Not much bass on a metallica track compared to a garage tune.

download an album called Skream by Skream, it'll blow your mind, i was into all my rock and metal, till i got my first sub, now i'm firmly inbedded in Dub Step and DnB, but QOTSA does sound awsome with a nice sub;)

I know the feeling,or when you get into someone's car that has a poxy headunit and speakers and think it sounds brilliant, and you are like, it's tinny as hell turn it off!

Na Scream aint all that IMO, Rusko & Casper is where its at for Dubstep.

Caspa and Rusko* ;) they certinaly are especially the new album a few weeks ago, but it doesn't give your sub the work out Skream does, all the wobblying base takes me to another world!

But my fav's Kidnappa it kicks the s**t outa ya! shame he's not doing anything anymore but he's still popping out some tunes with 16bit

Thats a very sensible little build you have there. Nice and light and i bet it feels awesome punching you in the spine but not so loud that it dous any damage.

looooks goood wish I could do that but im too lazy!

edit: got any more pictures? from different angles? and what amp(s) are you running?

i did have 3 pyle 1500 watt amps powering it, (because i was poor at the time and wanted a thump) but they're POO:eek: so im stripping it all out and starting again, still taking up all the back tho, but maybe with the subs pointing upwards from the floor?? any ideas im stuck...

Just made a start on my install, took my sub out of its box to try to work out its volume and mom rang, needed a lift.

I was driving along, nice new trance album on low (always turn it down in my street, neighbours and all that.......) Got to the end of the road, pulled out and turned it up. NOTHING.I forgot the sub was on the kitchen table in bits. No bass or anything, just the standard front speakers powered by the HU. Needless to say I turned it off straight away, couldn't stand listening to it.

I must be suffering from this "bass addiction" too, I physically couldn't stand listening to it without the bass :(
