Re-assembly and adjustment inside

Inside you have a nice new cable to attach to the tension equalisation bar, then finger tighten the tension nut to take in the slack.

try the handbrake a few times, it may creep up as you use it as you may have disturbed the auto adjust mechanism.

remove your chocks from the front wheels and have a little test drive down your street.

Adjust the tension correctly (I believe its no more than five clicks or excessive movement before the handbrake is fully applied for the MOT).

Re-attach all your interior (perhaps after a wash?) and your rolling and fully functioning!.

Hope you find this useful, and cheers for having a read.

On a side note when using a halfords cable the inboard nipple was too large, :bang:so after some filing of the nipple, I got pissed off and removed the tension equalisation bar and drilled the hole 0.5mm bigger to make the new cable fit. If you do this remember which way round the bar goes, and which side it is your drilling.
