Wiring

Important: turn off all electrical systems! (no need to remove the battery) Also DONT turn on the HU before you finished the wiring!

Cutting the wires
Look into the boot of the car. Find the cable bundle against the rear. Remove some taping to get a clear piece of wire free. Cut the following wires in half: the Blue Yellow one, and the Blue Red one. (Or, maybe different in UK cars; the Orange Black and Orange Green ones). These wires run to the right (or maybe left in UK) speakers.

Look at the left side of the boot. We'll fit the subwoofer there later. Cut the connector to the rear speaker. (Orange Black and Orange Green - Or Blue Yellow and Blue Red in UK). We'll later split this wire so that we don't need to completely remove the boot carpet.

Soldering new wires
Make the following wire splitting points (illustration):

Make each one twice. Also note that one of these have a longer cable, this is needed to fit it from the cutting point to the subwoofer cable. (Not neccesary if you have a very long wire attached to the subwoofer cable). Also use heatshrink to make the connections more solide.

Fitting the wires in the car
Strip the ends of the just cut wires in the car. Do the same on the soldered cables. (First put some heatshrink on the cables, you can't do this afterwards) Get a clamping connector and attach a original speaker wire to the soldered cable with a clamping tool.

Do the same for all 4 speaker wires. At the boot cable bundel also reconnect the soldered cable to the speaker wire. (Do this twice for Blue - Red and Blue - Yellow). Next refit the connector to the soldered wires.

At this point the rear speakers should work fine, just as before. All you did is splitting it so you can attach the subwoofer cables.

Fitting the subwoofer cable
Feed the subwoofer cable to the boot carpet like pictured:

The wires should go near the earth connector displayed before.

Laying two new wires
The subwoofer also needs two new wires. A power one, and a signal one. Get the 4 meter 2MM wire and start at the passenger fusebox. Run the wire next to the cable bundles to the boot.

For the plastic part in the centre you can use a trick: a garden hose (wire follows the red line):

Leave the wire in the boot. We'll work it away later.

Next get the 3 meter 1MM wire. Start at the HU and feed the wire to the passenger side. When you lay underneath the glovebox you should be able to see the cable comming down. Zip-tie the cable to the existing cable bundle running underneath the glovebox. Then run the cable to the side, via the cable bundel underneath the door sill, using the garden hose trick to cross the plastic part in the centre, to the boot.

Connecting the subwoofer cable
Connect the subwoofer cable wires to the other wires. Attach the right colors to the soldered cables (Orange black - soldered splitting point - Orange black etc.). Attach the 2MM wire from the fusebox to the red wire of the sub, attach the 1 MM wire from the HU to the grey wire of the subwoofer.

At last, connect the black wire to the earth point. Use a round criping connector and bolt it to the earth connector:

Cleaning up the boot
Now all wires should be connected. Put the boot carpet back and refit the black plugs.
