Finishing wiring and testing

Tucking away wires
You can easily tug away the wires in the boot. Just lay them under the carpet. Also, if one of the wires is to long, you can easily lay it beneath the rear seats.

Refitting door sills
Refit the door sills. Align the plastic parts of the sill with the connectors and press the sill back in. Then attach the two screws.

Refitting black plugs / carpets
Refit the two black plugs in the front of the car. Make sure the carpet is nicely tucked away behind the door rubbers.

Attaching fusebox connector
Using the following connector (available at your local car shop):

Clamp the 2MM wire to this fuse connector. Remove fuse F36 (lower left - 15A) and plug it in the upper slot of the connector. Then, plug the connector in place F36.

Fitting remote wire to HU
The only part you cannot do yourself (only if you have specialized radio ISO equipment). Go to the local car shop, and ask them if they can connect a wire to the ISO connector for you. Tell them to plug the wire (you already layed from the HU to the boot) in the following hole:

Once they connected the wire to the ISO connector, plug the radio back. Be aware that you don't squeeze the newly layed wire with the radio! The radio should easily refit and stick to the housing.

Testing
And now the exciting moment: testing the radio. Just turn on the radio and the subwoofer should work!

Troubleshooting:
If it wont work, check all the wire connections. Also check the earth connector in the boot.

You can also check power to the sub. Take the sub connector off and get a voltmeter. Plug the meter in the hole of the red wire (power) and lay the other one to earth. The meter should show about 12 Volts. If not, there is something wrong with the wire you layed or maybe something with the fusebox connector thing. Also double check the fuses.
